- Experience prospecting, networking and/​or new business development
- A self-starter with initiative with strong customer/​client orientation; ability to facilitate discussions to resolve issues, obtain consensus and drive to conclusion
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field and/or equivalent experience in the insurance industry
- Current State of Indiana Accident & Health, Life license required (must be obtained; company will cover)
- Ability to earn client trust along with excellent relationship management skills
- Motivated and goal-oriented with the hunger to become a Partner/Shareholder
- Coachable and competitive spirit
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Passion for making a difference in the community
- Proficient knowledge of benefit design and set-up, administration, and regulations related to ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA helpful, yet trainable
- Current or future professional designation preferred; appropriate designations include Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Group Benefits Associate (GBA), Retirement Plans Associate (RPA), or Tax Exempt & Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC)
